Authenticating your NP-7A
All Newlong equipment is designed for heavy-duty industrial use. We use high quality parts to ensure that your equipment has longevity and durability. The NP-7A is the most highly imitated product that we have-therefore, it is important for our customers to know that they have purchased authentic Newlong equipment, and not a knock-off. Many companies have tried to confuse our customers by using a similar model name, brand name, or design, so we have created this simple list that you can use to quickly verify the authenticity of your product.
An authentic Newlong NP-7A has the word "NEWLONG" embossed on the metal case of the body of the machine. It will ONLY say "NEWLONG" and will have no other words or markings.
Authentic "Newlong" products are manufactured by Newlong Machine Works, LTD. There are no other divisions of Newlong; only branch locations, such as American-Newlong, Inc.
What does the manufacturer plate look like?
The manufacturer plate is black and is engraved with silver lettering. The plate contains four pieces of information:
Line 1: "NEWLONG"
Line 2: Model NP-7A
Line 3 & 4: Newlong Machine Works, LTD.
Line 5: Made in Japan
Newlong products are assigned unique serial numbers. The serial number is listed at the base of the machine near the sewing area. If you would like to verify your serial number you can call or email us and we will be glad to do so.
Newlong sells directly to our customers via phone, fax, email and now on Ebay under seller name "americannewlong5310". While it is possible that one of our distributors may use these sites to sell portables, it is highly unlikely that if you purchased from one of these sites that it is an authentic Newlong product.
